How I can help

Services offered

Every journey through end-of-life is unique. I offer a range of compassionate, personalized services to support you and your loved ones โ€” wherever you are on that path.

Whether you are facing a terminal diagnosis, caring for someone at the end of life, or simply wanting to prepare thoughtfully for the future, I am here to walk alongside you.

Services can be engaged individually or woven together as your needs evolve. All offerings are available in Stafford, Virginia and surrounding areas.

Emotional support & companionship

You should not have to face this alone.

Dying can be isolating โ€” for the person at the center of it and for the family surrounding them. I offer a steady, non-judgmental presence: someone to sit with, to listen, to hold space for whatever arises. Whether you need someone to talk through fears, process grief, or simply be present in the quiet, I am here.

  • One-on-one emotional support for the dying person
  • Family support and caregiver respite
  • Active listening and non-directive presence
  • Support through anticipatory grief

Bedside vigil

A sacred, unhurried presence at the threshold.

The final hours of life deserve reverence and care. I provide bedside vigil support โ€” sitting with your loved one through the active dying process so that no one crosses that threshold alone. I can guide family members in what to expect, help create a peaceful environment, and offer comfort through music, touch, or quiet presence.

  • In-home or facility bedside presence
  • Guidance for family on the active dying process
  • Creating a peaceful, intentional environment
  • Comfort measures and sensory support

Death planning

Thoughtful preparation is a gift to those you love.

Planning ahead for death is one of the most loving things you can do for your family. I help you think through and document your wishes โ€” from medical preferences to funeral arrangements to the practical details that often go unaddressed. We work at your pace, in a space free of pressure or judgment.

  • End-of-life wishes documentation
  • Funeral and disposition preferences
  • Organizing important documents and contacts
  • Guidance on communicating wishes to family

Pet continuity planning

Our animals are family too.

Our animals are family, and losing the ability to care for them can feel like losing so much more than a pet. Pet Continuity Planning helps you create a realistic plan for your animals if illness, hospitalization, aging, disability, or end-of-life circumstances make their care more difficult. The goal is not automatically to find your pet a new home โ€” it is to look at what support could help preserve the relationship for as long as it is safe and possible, while making sure your animal's needs are cared for too.

  • Identifying your animal's care needs and daily routines
  • Connecting with trusted people and resources who can help
  • Arranging dog walking, bathing, transportation, or in-home help
  • Exploring options for temporary foster care when needed

Legacy work

Stories and meaning that outlast a lifetime.

Legacy work is about capturing what matters โ€” the stories, values, and wisdom that define a life. I help individuals and families create meaningful records: recorded or written life reviews, ethical wills, memory projects, and more. This work can be deeply healing for both the person sharing and the family receiving.

  • Life review and oral history recording
  • Ethical wills and legacy letters
  • Memory projects and keepsake creation
  • Guided reflection and meaning-making conversations

Grief support

Grief is love with nowhere to go โ€” yet.

Loss does not end when the funeral does. I offer ongoing grief support for individuals and families navigating bereavement โ€” a compassionate presence as you find your footing in a changed world. I am not a licensed therapist, but I can offer meaningful support and help connect you with additional resources when needed.

  • Individual grief companioning
  • Family bereavement support
  • Guidance through the practical aftermath of loss
  • Referrals to licensed grief therapists and support groups
